It’s not everyday I get inspired by Oprah.

Okay, not by Oprah, but by one of her guests.

And you’re gonna laugh.

So, the cast of Sex And The City: The Movie were on, and the chick that plays Charlotte (her name is Kristin…something, I’m so lost on her last name, anyhoo…)

She said something along the lines of when you’re in your twenties, you aren’t supposed to have everything figured out, and know who you are, this should be the time to figure out who you are.

Honestly, it’s been one of the most comforting things I have heard in a while.

I mean, okay, my life doesn’t suck. I have been very fortunate. I have loving friends and family.

I guess as far as my “day job” that I am not a fan of, I wish that would change into something I would enjoy. I have been writing a lot lately, in hopes of getting my short novel finished by the end of the year.

There is a lot of family-related stuff that is really starting to take a toll on me, but I am doing my best to keep it on the back burner, because I really feel that I just can’t let myself get overly emotional, because then it overthrows my mood.

And the last thing I need to be feeling is depressed. Like, if I look at the whole package, some random person would be like, “What are you complaining about? You have a sweet life.”

And I do, it’s just in rollercoaster mode with all the ups and downs…hopefully more “ups” are to come.

And thinking about the words said on Oprah, you know, I have always have a good idea about who I am. I know what I believe in, and the morals and values that I do my best to live up to. I know that I’m a writer, a music lover, and an old -fashioned romantic at heart.

So, I am looking forward to the rest of my twenties and getting to know “me” more!

Look, an “up” already!
